The Golden State Warriors have found themselves back in familiar territory once again. After they failed to sweep the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, the Warriors are heading back to the bay with a 3-1 lead.

It’s oddly reminiscent of last year, except for the fact this is a much different team this time around. Game 4 was one of the strangest NBA Finals games in history, as the Cavaliers set plenty of offensive records while the refs lost count of who technical fouls were called on.

In a year where nothing could stop the Warriors, it took a game like that to take them down. Kevin Durant was still great as he has always been, but Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry couldn’t get anything major going offensively.
Being back at home in front of their home crowd should be exactly what they need. The good news is that they will have Draymond Green for Game 5 this year. The forward was suspended for the game last year and he feels he ultimately cost his team the series as a result.

He didn’t get an easy time from officials in Cleveland, which should serve as plenty of motivation in front of his home fans. The Warriors want to wrap this thing up and not let it extend any further. Taking care of business at home would let them clinch the championship in front of their fans. Durant has been a menace in his first four games, but it will take a complete team effort to bring it on home for good.
