From the beginning, it looked like the Cavaliers were going to provide that same tough challenge they put up in Game 4 of the series. Golden State struggled to shoot the ball early and made plenty of mistakes with the ball that led to points on the other end.
That’s when Kevin Durant helped put the team on his back and lead a 27-4 run that shook the Cavaliers in the second quarter. LeBron James and J.R. Smith didn’t quit there either. Smith hit four straight threes leading into the second half that kept his team squarely in it on the verge of the blowout.
While Smith was shooting the Cavaliers back in the game, Andre Iguodala stepped up huge off the bench for the Warriors. Looking the Iguodala that helped clinched the title two seasons for Golden State, he drove the lane with impressive ease and helped keep the team ahead of Cleveland.
