The NBA Draft hasn’t even arrived yet and the Golden State Warriors have turned the entire league upside down.

When the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games in the NBA Finals, the question became what would happen of their foes? Well, it appears that question should be asked for the rest of the league.

For those that have been living under a rock or are taking a break from the league after the finals, the NBA has wasted no time turning things up a notch. The top pick in the draft has already been traded, Paul George will be gone from Indiana soon and Dwight Howard is now with the Charlotte Hornets.

That doesn’t even scratch the surface of everything that has and will continue to happen. Whatever the Warriors have done putting their current roster together, has gotten the entire league up and moving.

It was just a year and a day ago when the Cavaliers were celebrating their championship and it felt like things would remain as is for a while. Instead, Cleveland is making big changes and the world is spinning on its axis at a blazing pace.

When a team is set up to win for a long time like Golden State is, it’s either build a team to try and compete with them or tear it down completely. There’s no room for middling teams anymore in today’s game.

Long gone is a good healthy dose of competitive teams in the middle that have a shot to burst the bubble. While the NBA hasn’t exactly ever been a league of parity, any that did exist is gone. Bob Myers might not have envisioned the impact the Warriors would have on the rest of the NBA, but he has to be pleased that he has built conceivably the ultimate team. That’s no small feat and the rest of the league is scrambling for options and hopes of being on that level.
