Golden State Warriors: Ranking the free agents
8. David West
David West has taken less money in each of his last two stops to try and win a championship. With that feat finally achieved in Golden State, West could very well try and get as much money as he can before finishing his career.
He also would be an important veteran piece to keep in the locker room. He blended in with the roster and was ready to have his teammates’ backs at any moment. If he does want to stay, then he’ll have to wait for the rest of business to be finished up with the larger contracts and settle around for a minimum once again.
7. Zaza Pachulia
After spending the season starting at center, Zaza Pachulia was serviceable enough to hold down the spot in a championship season. Although there were frustrating moments, the Warriors had to platoon at center and it didn’t end in a disaster.
Pachulia is an unrestricted free agent and it will be interesting to see if there’s a market for him. If Golden State does need to round out the roster if they lose players, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Pachulia brought back on another cheap deal.
