The Golden State Warriors have all but solved their free agency decisions for 2017. With Andre Iguodala being the big piece to bring back, Golden State worked quickly to get other guys on board in the early stages on Saturday. Then with a bunch of teams pursuing the former NBA Finals MVP, Iguodala officially announced his intentions of returning.
Having met with other key western conference teams, he was able to ultimately get the deal that he wanted from the Warriors. He even went as far as to break the news himself on Twitter that he was returning.
After making his announcement known, Adrian Wojnarowski broke down the details of the deal. He will be getting three years and $48 million from the Warriors, which is an increased payday and a steep price for the club.
It’s a steep price because of the luxury tax that the team is going to have pay now, but he is worth every penny that they are paying him. As one of the best sixth men in the league and a pivotal role in several key lineups, getting him back was an absolute must.

By bringing him back, the Warriors are able to get all their key pieces back together and now will get Kevin Durant signed on his next deal. Teams were hoping to lure Iguodala away in some attempt to hopefully provide a weakness in Golden State, but Bob Myers once again executed another fantastic free agency.
The team is still going to have to fill out the rest of the bench after this signing. With their sixth man, Shaun Livingston and David West back on board, it should help entice other players looking to chase after a ring to come to the bay. This was the key signing and Golden State did it again.
