The Golden State Warriors won their second championship in three years. In all three of those seasons, they’ve had the best core in basketball. When they added Kevin Durant, they immediately became one of the most talented teams of all-time.
The 2017 Warriors weren’t special only because of their incredible starting lineup. They also had a strong bench to go with it. Despite the fact that they let go many of their championship reserves to make room for Durant, they came back with an even stronger bench.

After winning the title, the Warriors only had a handful of plaYers under contract. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, the two MVPs, were Golden State’s top priority. Bringing back Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston were next and Bob Myers was able to retain both of them. Then it was time to round out the bench.
Golden State brought Zaza Pachulia back to be the starting center once again. David West is returning for the final year of his career. Veterans Nick Young and Omri Casspi will be suiting up for the Dubs next year. They also added Jordan Bell through a Draft Night trade.
The Warriors have a lot of options. They can do a lot of different things on the court, giving teams various looks based on matchups. They have weapons and defensive stoppers from top to bottom.
