2. Minnesota Timberwolves

One of the teams that is on the list for Kyrie Irving is the Minnesota Timberwolves. After acquiring Jimmy Butler, Minnesota is ready to rise in the Western Conference. With Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins beside him, they can be a future power.

If the Timberwolves were to add Kyrie Irving, it would certainly push them toward being a top team in the west if they aren’t going to be near there already. Of course, landing Irving would mean they would have to give something up.

After giving up assets for Butler, Minnesota might be hesitant to give anything else up for Irving, as to not deplete what they’re building. They also signed Jeff Teague to a free agent contract early on too.

The Timberwolves have shown over the last couple of years that they can indeed defeat Golden State. They even have a win at the Oracle Arena, which proved to be a building block for their franchise.

A young team with a lot of talent that has confidence can be a scary proposition. If they do find a way to land the point guard, this is going to be a battle that everyone is going to want to see unfold.
