1. The Warriors win ‘Best Team’ at The ESPYS

Of course, there is no bigger honor that the Warriors can receive in the offseason than to be recognized as not the best team in the NBA, but as the best team in sports. At The 25th ESPYS, the Warriors won the “Best Team” award and defeated some great teams in a vote.

Teams like the Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Penguins and U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team were just some of the heavyweights that the Warriors were able to dethrone. With a great regular season and a 16-1 record in the playoffs, it was clear the award was theirs for the taking.

They didn’t win the championship with a team that caught lightning in a bottle. They were there with four superstars and a roster that was just far too great for any other team to come close to even handling.

The one game that they lost in the NBA Finals was the result of a record-breaking night for the Cleveland Cavaliers. A night that required them to play at near perfection. When it takes perfection to take a team down, it shows the strength of a franchise.

Golden State spent all year trying to prove that they’re still the best and now the league belongs to them as everyone scrambles to make moves. It’s the Warriors’ world and everyone is just living in it right now.
