11. MarShon Brooks

It’s always great when teams acquire non-superstar players in three-team deals. For whatever reason, the Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat all once had the bright idea to move a bunch of smaller pieces.

None of the pieces that ended up being moved in the deal had much of an impact,  but MarShon Brooks got a short stint in the bay. After a promising rookie season where he averaged 12 points per game with the Nets, he looked like he was going to be a real player in the league.

Instead, he fell off and quickly kept getting bounced around as teams still believed in his potential. After Golden State got him, they quickly then shipped him out in another trade to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Life can be rough sometimes for those who put up numbers quickly and then tail off. Brooks does get to say he was part of that famous trade between the Nets and Celtics that gave Danny Ainge draft picks for life though.
