Golden State Warriors gift guide: Five must buy t-shirts

We Believe – Warriors Team Store

This is a throwback for all of the OG Golden State Warriors fans. In my book, all bandwagon fans are welcome. If your favorite team is getting a huge influx of bandwagon fans, that means you’re winning and things are going well.

This shirt, though, is for those that have been around for a while. During the playoffs, the Warriors honored the 2007 “We Believe” team that upset the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs. This is a t-shirt that goes back to those days.

During that incredible postseason run a decade ago, Golden State and the fans in the Bay Area rallied around that slogan. They believed that they could make a late season push into the 8th seed after a mid-season trade completely changed the course of the year for the team. They believed until they actually clinched a spot.

Then the magic happened. Baron Davis led the team to the first ever upset of a one seed by an eighth seed in a seven game series. They believed they could do it and they did.

The Oracle Arena chairs that now have “Strength in Numbers” draped over them used to have “We Believe” shirts on them. These shirts are slightly different because they don’t say “2007 NBA Playoffs” under the script on the chest. They also have an extra logo on the sleeve, commemorating the ten year anniversary of the historic run.
