The Golden State Warriors’ Kevin Durant took to Twitter to discuss LeBron James’ future with rapper Lil Dicky.

Kevin Durant just outplayed LeBron James in the NBA Finals as he won his first championship. Durant was named Finals MVP and exacted his revenge on James, who had beat him years ago when the Miami Heat bested the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Finals. After the victory, Durant noted that catching James has always been on his mind.

The Golden State Warriors’ superstar is one of the best basketball players ever. He’s a multi-millionaire with international fame. Still, at the end of the day, he’s just a fan of the game like the rest of us.

Durant likes to tweet and talk about the game of basketball. He’s a student and a fan. He displayed that in one of the most interesting Twitter interactions you’ll see.

Yup, Kevin Durant spent part of his afternoon discussing LeBron James’ future with rapper Lil’ Dicky. If that doesn’t put one of those Nick Young meme smiles on your face, I don’t know what will. It’s bizarre yet totally awesome.

It shows that despite the fact that Durant is on top of the basketball world, he’s still a spectator. James’ future is currently and will continue to be one of the biggest storylines this year. Just this morning, a report that his mind is made up and he will leave Cleveland next summer surfaced.

Where the “Save Dat Money” rapper’s argument comes up short is in the fact that James has a no-trade clause. It has already been reported that he won’t waive it. He’s playing the 2017-18 season in Northeast Ohio.

Still, after being a part of one of these situations just two seasons ago, Durant’s perspective is interesting. And he’s right. LeBron James is untradeable, for many reasons.

It’s always cool to see a superstar actually enjoy the game of basketball. If he ever wants to write about basketball, he’s more than welcome to join BlueManHoop.
