Kevin Durant predicts LeBron’s free agency future
Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant believes that LeBron James is going to ultimately remain with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Kevin Durant has absolutely ruled the offseason. After winning NBA Finals MVP and the first championship of his career, the Golden State Warriors’ superstar forward has been very vocal about plenty of things. It’s been a rather refreshing voice in a sea of them in the NBA.

Whether it’s firing back at Twitter trolls or giving his thoughts on major issues, Durant hasn’t shied away from calling it like he sees it. He has even been voicing his opinion on the man he defeated in the finals, LeBron James.
Durant was recently on The Bill Simmons Podcast, and he gave his thoughts on James’ upcoming free agency. With all the speculation around the legend potentially leaving for new horizons once again, Durant has other thoughts. Durant told Simmons that he believes LeBron will ultimately stay with the Cavaliers.
“I personally always said he was staying. I told him this.” Durant said to Simmons “That’s me. I feel like he’s going to end it in Cleveland. That’s his crib. That’s the crib now. He run it, and I’m sure he’s going to turn that into something mega once he’s done. He’s going to do something.”

Just about every take up to this point has virtually written off LeBron as leaving for somewhere else. However, Durant’s take is a different one on the situation and certainly makes a ton of sense as well.
The fact he even told LeBron as such is interesting as well. While the moves by ownership certainly have been something else by Cleveland, it still seems crazy that LeBron would want to give up an almost guaranteed trip to the NBA Finals to compete out west. No one will know for sure until he officially makes his move, but Durant is leaning on LeBron staying.
