Brown is BACK!

The Santa Cruz Warriors fell to the South Bay Lakers at the UCLA Health Training Center last Sunday, starting the week with a 125-101 loss.

Jabari Brown paced the Sea Dubs that night, finishing with 20 points, one rebound and one steal in 31 minutes as a starter. He shot 8-of-14 from the field and perfect 2-of-2 from the free throw line, but a mere 2-of-7 from behind the arc.

While there’s only a month left in the season, adding another scorer like Brown to the team was simply the right move to make. When Cook isn’t around, Brown is more than capable to step in the shoes of a first-option scorer.

We’ve already broken down Brown’s game in one of our previous editions of the Surf City Summary, so be sure to check that out; though looking at this recent performance, he appears much more crafty this season, displaying a number of new moves to set up his jump shot.
