Warriors forward Draymond Green and Tristan Thompson’s feud has been taken up a notch this offseason after another altercation.

During the fourth edition of Warriors versus Cavs in the NBA Finals, Draymond Green and Tristan Thompson got into a scuffle after getting tied up fighting for the ball at the end of Game 1.

Thompson and the rest of the Cavs were obviously frustrated after blowing their chance of stealing a game in Golden State, and Draymond knew how to push their buttons in the waning minutes.

Green bad mouthed Thompson in comments throughout the series, and Draymond did not shake Thompson’s hand after the Warriors’ Game 4 victory.

According to a report from Bossip and some clarification from Jason McIntyre on Twitter, Draymond attempted to apologize to Thompson at an exclusive ESPY’s afterparty and Thompson responded by punching Green in the mouth.

The fight was reportedly broken up by LeBron James and Kevin Durant, who were both teammates of Green and Thompson last season.

McIntyre tweeted that Tristan initially replied to Draymond’s apology with a “nah man,” and Green went on to say “come on, I didn’t mean it” before Tristan “leveled him with a punch.”

McIntyre did note that Draymond did not go down from the punch.

McIntyre went on to say Green was not the aggressor, and the punch was a result of Tristan Thompson’s built-up frustration from their feud.

While Draymond may have not been the aggressor, this is another prime example of his ability to get underneath opponent’s skin. He knows exactly what buttons to push, and this time it resulted in a sucker punch.

Referees need to be on high alert during next season’s Warriors-Cavs matchups because LeBron won’t be there to break up the next fight between Draymond and Tristan Thompson.
