Will Cherry

Will Cherry is the most recent addition to the Dubs training camp, reportedly accepting the invitation yesterday. The former Cavalier will get another chance at an NBA career with the Warriors.

Cherry, 27, doesn’t have much NBA experience but has continued trying to find an NBA home. The 6-foot-1 point guard spent the last three seasons with a German, Turkish and Croatian clubs respectively.

Following his summer league stint with San Antonio in 2015, Cherry had been mainly playing overseas. He did play eight NBA games with the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2014-2015 season. In those games, Cherry averaged just 1.9 points per game in less than ten minutes per game.

Undersized, Cherry never got his feet under him in the NBA, and it seems like an upward battle for him creating noise in the league now. However, the Dubs clearly saw something in the 2018 Croatian Cup MVP and brought him to camp.

Cherry has a shot, albeit not a likely shot, to get that last two-way spot.
