Draymond Green

Draymond Green is the heart and soul of the Golden State Warriors. Green’s energy, toughness, and grit makes him the leader of the Dubs. His drive and competitive spirit are one of the key components to the warrior’s championship success.

Draymond is one of the most versatile players in the league.

More from Blue Man Hoop

His ability to take a rebound and initiate offense in both the full court and half court makes the Warriors the most versatile offense in the NBA. Green created the point-power forward position which allows Steph to play off the ball and run off screens. He is a respectable shooter and a good finisher around the rim.

Defensively, he is still the best in the league.

He can guard all five positions on the court. His anticipation and ability to read offenses are one of the best the league has ever seen. He is the quarterback on defense, and when the Dubs are at their best, he anchors one of the best defenses in the league.

With a potential super-max contract looming on the horizon, he is going to have extra motivation to win his second Defensive Player of the Year award. This would put Green in the conversation as one of the best defenders in NBA history.

Draymond may not be the best player on the team, but he could very easily be the most important on the team. He has been the key to the Warriors’ championship teams and the anchor of one of the most dominant teams in NBA history. – ZR
