Patrick McCaw

Patrick McCaw is now entering his third year with the Warriors. McCaw is a long, versatile wing defender who can guard multiple positions.

Offensively, he’s been up and down in his young career.

He was slowed down by a back injury later last season. McCaw was undercut by Sacramento Kings forward Vince Carter as he attempted a baseline layup. He was never quite the same after the fall and missed considerable time. He came back during the playoffs and gave the warriors solid minutes which was nice to see.

Both his first and second season, McCaw averaged exactly 4.0 points per game and has yet to average double figures per 36 minutes. Still not technically signed, McCaw needs to stop trying to wait out the Dubs and sign his qualifying offer.

Not quite sure what the future holds for McCaw, but the potential is there. McCaw is entering a crucial year in his career, and he is expected to contribute more for the Warriors this season. – ZR
