Starting center position is up for grabs,  won’t be Draymond Green

This might be the most intriguing quote from media day. Clearly, Kerr is leaving his center spot open for whoever he believes deserves it following the short training camp. He does say that the team won’t go small with Green to start.

It’s especially odd since Bell, by far, showed the most flare last season. Bell started 13 games last season yet didn’t lock up the starting spot this season. He played minimal minutes in the summer league, so that didn’t give us much insight into any improved in Bell’s game.

Additionally, Looney and Jones seem to be long shots to crack the starting five, but with Kerr keeping the lineup a secret, anyone’s guess could be right. However, I’d expect it to be Bell starting opening night.

Albeit having Draymond at the five is likely their best lineup all around.
