Golden State Warriors: Projecting the depth chart at each position
Shooting Guard
Klay Thompson
One of the best two-way players in all the NBA, Klay Thompson is clearly the Dubs starting two-guard. He’s an elite sniper, making over three three-pointers per game the last four straight seasons. He’s more than a sniper though.
Averaging 20 points per game over the last four seasons, Thompson has evolved into an elite all-around scoring option. He’s been elected to the All-Star game the last four seasons as well.
Patrick McCaw
McCaw is still holding out, having yet agreed to his qualifying offer. The two-guard entering his third season in the league has yet to give the Dubs a reason to sign him long-term. He hasn’t topped five points per game in either of his first two seasons.
This season is pivotal for McCaw’s career in the Bay and could make-or-break his career moving forward.
Damion Lee
The Dubs sole two-way contract, Lee was brought over after a short stint last season with the Atlanta Hawks. In 15 games, he averaged 10.7 points per game. Now just a two-way player on the league’s best team, he’ll have a chance to shine on a national platform.
