Golden State Warriors: Projecting the depth chart at each position
Small Forward
Kevin Durant
Albeit he didn’t help alleviate the worry of his departure next offseason during media day, four-time scoring champion and NBA MVP Kevin Durant is the unanimous small forward option. He’s a 6-foot-10 elite scorer that’s proven to be among the league’s best.
He’s averaged over 25 points per game both seasons in the Bay and isn’t looking to slow down anytime soon. He’s also playing some of the best defense of his career.
Andre Iguodala
Iguodala is a unique player. He’s a defensive-oriented forward that isn’t really a three-point threat. However, he is vital to team success. His first season in the Bay, the Dubs were 18 points per 100 possessions better than their opponent with Iggy on the court.
His impact spoke for itself when the Dubs were forced to seven games against the Rockets last offseason.
Jacob Evans
The Warriors first-round draft pick, Jacob Evans, left the University of Cincinnati after his junior season. He led the Bearcats to post the NCAA’s highest team defensive efficiency. Evans, as like Iguodala, plays with a defensive mindset.
He’ll be using his rookie season to gain experience behind a couple of league’s most experienced forwards.
