Golden State Warriors: Ranking the NBA’s greatest dynasties
By Tony Pesta
1. 1990s – Chicago Bulls
There’s really only one thing you need to know about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls: Six championship appearances and six championships. This level of perfection is what separates them from the rest of their competition.
Let’s start with MJ himself. The GOAT was at his absolute best during these runs, peaking in the 1993 season when he put up 35.4 points per game in the playoffs to complete his first three-peat.
Jordan’s accomplishments in the 90s:
- 6 Championships
- 6 Finals MVP’s
- 4 MVP’s
- 7 Scoring titles
- 7 All-Star Games
Even though it looked like the Michael Jordan show (it was), he had a ton of help from other star teammates. Scottie Pippen is one of the most versatile forwards of all-time with a legendary reputation for his defensive talents.
Alongside them was a number of skilled players such as Toni Kukoc, Ron Harper and the always great Dennis Rodman. Combine all of these players together and it’s easy to see how they were so successful.
I don’t think any team will ever break the perfect 6-0 record that the Bulls held in the 1990s. For this reason, the Chicago Bulls steal our top spot as the greatest dynasty of all-time.
