Marcus Smart, Grant Williams for 2022 first and Andrew Wiggins

Another combo the Warriors should consider is the other Williams combined with Wiggins and a future first-round pick, one certainly less promising.

However, with Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker locked up, the Celtics may be at risk of losing Gordon Hayward, and that’s where the potential of Andrew Wiggins, a capable starting small forward helps.

Williams, a 21-year-old rookie out of Tennessee, is a quality power forward.

The combination of Smart and Williams should be able to replace any lost minutes at the three. Despite being an undersized three, Smart could put in minutes at the position given his style of play and toughness.

Smart has been a staple of Celtics’ play over the last few seasons, so this may not be enough for him. Nonetheless, it would spare the team from using their trade exception. For now, Wiggins is expected to be their starter at the three next season.

However, if this offer hits the table, it should certainly be accepted.
