Marc Gasol

Toronto Raptors’ center Marc Gasol is the perfect place for the team to pick up with their mid-level exception.

The 6-foot-11 Spaniard has been a staple of the league for quite some time, having won a title last season and a Defensive Player of the Year honor almost two decades ago. He’s continued to evolve his game which is one of the several reasons why’d he’d fit well in Golden State.

Gasol wasn’t a three-point shooter, attempting 66 threes through his first eight seasons. Then, in his ninth season, he went off. Now, he’s averaging 1.4 three-pointers per game. That evolution right there is something the Warriors crave.

Three-point shooting from a big man that can also defend the perimeter is an ideal trait to complement the Warriors backcourt. Gasol, who is also 35, likely wouldn’t request too much and should be looking for another ring towards the later years of his career.
