Want to keep up to date with the Golden State Warriors? Here are a few important events to watch for in the next couple of months.

The NBA schedule has become a bit confusing with all of the changes due to the ongoing pandemic. We have been doing our best to keep track of every upcoming date that could be important to the Golden State Warriors. Here, we will break down each one and how it could affect the team.

  • August 17 – NBA Playoffs begin

This one won’t directly impact the Warriors but the Dubs should be playing close attention to the Orlando teams and prepare themselves for potential battles next season.

  • August 25 – NBA Draft Lottery

The Warriors finished the season with a league-worst record of 15-50. This means the franchise will have the best odds to win the No. 1 overall pick for the first time in nearly two decades. Tied with two other franchises, the Dubs find out on August 25 if they will have the top pick in the upcoming draft.

  • September – Potential Chicago Bubble

We still aren’t sure if the Delete 8 teams will be competing in a second bubble or not. But, if they do, the Chicago bubble will take place sometime in September. Each non-Orlando team will have a chance to play against one another, offering an opportunity for young Dubs like Andrew Wiggins, Eric Paschall and Jordan Poole to get some extra run together before next season.

  • October 16 – 2020 NBA Draft

By October 16, we will know if the Warriors are trading or keeping their upcoming first-round pick. There is a case to be made for either decision, leaving us waiting in anticipation to see what the franchise elects to do.

  • October 18 – Free Agency begins

The Warriors don’t have much cap space but their mid-level exception will allow them to sign a player for up to $6 million dollars in October. The free agency period will be much shorter than usual so the Dubs will have to act fast.

  • November 10 – Training Camp begins (Potentially)

This date isn’t confirmed, but the plan is to have a training camp for all 30 teams begin around November 10. This will mark the first time the Warriors are able to see their roster at full strength.

  • December – NBA Season begins

Again, this date isn’t confirmed. The NBA is hoping to make a smooth transition into next season sometime in December. If so, the road to another championship begins in December for the Warriors.
