The Golden State Warriors have a 14% chance at landing the top spot. If they do win the lottery, here are their five options at No. 1.

The NBA lottery puts teams on edge and for the first time in quite some time, the Warriors will be involved in it.

After all, it could absolutely change the trajectory of a franchise.

Just last year we saw the Pelicans nab the top spot while not being a top-three candidate for it. They were able to select Zion Williamson and easily become a playoff contender.

For a team like the Knicks, that was the brutal reality of the lottery. Let’s assume that doesn’t happen to the Warriors. Even if they do land a top pick, there will consideration to trade it.

In my opinion, that will really boil down to how much other teams view the value of the pick. Are they willing to part with a 2021 first-round pick and a player that would satisfy the team’s trade exception requirements?

The Warriors are in a perfect position to deal the pick and not bring back any cap limitations. But, that doesn’t mean they should pass up on a star if they feel said prospect could be the next face of the franchise.

That said, let’s dive into five players they should consider drafting if they do indeed win the lottery.
