8. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson – Buy

Few expected the Toronto Raptors to be a top team in the Eastern Conference following the departure of Kawhi Leonard. While the rise of Pascal Siakam and consistent All-Star performances from Kyle Lowry has pushed them to their success, it is quality role players like Rondae Hollis-Jefferson who have made it so difficult to beat the Raptors.

Jefferson was affectionately dubbed the captain of Zach Lowe’s ‘F*** s*** up team’ for his ability to throw opponents off and change the dynamic of a game. He is a peculiar player – specializing in rebounding and defending at the wing position. Standing at 6’6″ but boasting a 7’2″ wingspan – Jefferson is great for disrupting opposing offenses.

Per 100 possessions, Jefferson is averaging 17.6 points and 12.1 rebounds. He is a woefully bad shooter – connecting on only 2-of-17 attempts from beyond the arch this season. Regardless – he brings value on the defensive end of the floor and is one of the best rebounding wings in the game.

Jefferson is making less than $3 million this season and is due for a bigger payday. The Dubs can offer him double the amount he is making right now – a fair price for a one-year stint with and up-and-coming star.
