Not much has surfaced on Golden State Warriors’ trade rumors, but general manager Bob Myers doesn’t expect it to stay that way.

The Golden State Warriors are expected to have a highly active offseason.

With a guaranteed top-five pick, the Warriors, along with the $17.2 million trade exception and the team’s mid-level exception, have the assets to get deals done and stay under the cap.

We do not know if they’ll splurge financially yet, potentially using that entire Andre Iguodala-created exception.

We will know on August 20 just how valuable their 2020 first-round pick is though. The pick has a 14% chance of being in the top overall spot. However, they only have a 40% chance at it being in the top three which is also alarming.

As for trading the pick, the Warriors will consider that option, but there hasn’t been much else surface on that end.

Could it be strategic to keep conversations private for now? Or, are these conversations just not happening? Well, for general manager Bob Myers, he expects ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski to be dropping all his “nuggets” in September.

“To be truthful, we’re not discussing trades with teams right now. I don’t even know if we’re allowed, but we’re not. I perceive September for you to be busy reporting on whatever nuggets you have as far as potential trades,” Myers said on “The Woj Pod.”

The Warriors have a plethora of players that could be traded.

The one on the hot seat is Andrew Wiggins, who they added midway through the season. He’s expected to be the team’s starting small forward next season, but no one ever knows exactly what the future holds in the NBA.

Along with the pick and the exception, the Warriors could look into bringing in a few big-name players for Wiggins and a handful of assets. But, there’s been little reporting to date on the Warriors plans, if they have any potential moves in the pipeline.
