The Golden State Warriors have several coveted picks and a few superstars, enough to potentially gain interest from teams with superstar-level talent.

While if their package could draw interest from the Milwaukee Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo is unknown, the Golden State Warriors will have an ability to draw interest from teams for just about every other player in the league.

That package would revolve around two picks — the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and then a top-3 protected pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, one that was brought to Golden State in the deal that sent D’Angelo Russell to Minnesota.

With just about everyone but Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson on the table, the Warriors may target a superstar this offseason. After all, if they can become the easy favorite in the Western Conference, why would they continue to holster the assets?

The Warriors have to do what’s best for them — whether that’s preparing for the future or capitalizing on their championship potential now. That said, if they choose the latter, Washington’s Bradley Beal could be a strong target for the team.

NBC Sports’ Tom Haberstroh mentioned that he believes they do, but that given the Wizards up-and-coming talent, they may not take the bait.

“The Warriors certainly have the package to get the deal done. But I wonder if the Wizards want to see Brad Beal next to John Wall and potentially Davis Bertans and Thomas Bryant next season,” Haberstroh said to NBC Sports Bay Area’s Grant Liffmann.

While it feels unlikely, the Warriors do have the assets. Beal is a superstar, and he’s still only 27. If brought in, he would be able to lead the Warriors for years to come. Beal was among three NBA players averaging over 30 points per game this past season.

Along with averaging three triples per game and over a 38% career three-point percentage, he’s that good, and he would be that good of a fit.

Would he make the Warriors instant favorites is the real question that Golden State must answer before trading the future of their franchise for him.
