The MLE has interesting possibilities for the Golden State Warriors. Here are three forgotten players they could consider targetting.

The NBA Playoffs are quickly moving forward while the rest of the league, including the Golden State Warriors, are looking ahead to the upcoming offseason.

It’s an exciting time to be a Dubs fan. The Warriors hold the second pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and this holds a number of possibilities for the franchise. They can target a top prospect or scavenge the market for a potential trade. Their $17 million dollar trade exception lends them the financial flexibility needed to pull off a deal.

Another tool the Warriors will look to use is their mid-level exception. The MLE is expected to free up around $6 million dollars in cap space. This won’t land the Warriors a big-name free agent – but it is enough to sign a veteran presence or a quality role player.

While there are some familiar names like Marc Gasol that could become available to the Dubs – let’s take a look at three players the rest of the NBA has mostly forgotten about but could offer a helping hand to the Warriors next season.
