Golden State Warriors: 10 league-breaking offseason moves to make
By Tony Pesta
1. Danilo Gallinari (MLE)
If the rumors are true, and Danilo Gallinari is actually open to signing for a mid-level exception in order to compete for a title, then he could become the biggest steal in free agency.
Gallinari is a multi-faceted scorer that has somehow flown under the radar in recent years. His consistency helped pushed the unsung LA Clippers into the playoffs a year ago and he did the same this season in Oklahoma City.
The Warriors would be fully loaded with a weapon like Gallinari on their bench. He can catch-and-shoot, create plays for others, score off the dribble and finish around the rim. Gallinari could even become a stretch-four if the Dubs elect to play small-ball throughout the season.
Gallinari averaged 18.7 points on 44/40/89 shooting splits last year. He is as consistent as they come and would be the best sixth-man in basketball if he signed with the Warriors. This is a signing the Dubs should be going all-out for.
