5. Saddiq Bey

The need for combo-forwards is rapidly growing. For the Golden State Warriors, Saddiq Bey could be a valuable prospect to target in the back of the NBA Draft Lottery if they decide to trade down in the order.

Pros

Bey is going to find a role in the NBA pretty quickly due to his ability to shoot the 3-pointer. He has fluid mechanics and clipped over 45 percent of his attempts last season. He was one of Villanova’s most consistent offensive threats, averaging 16.1 points on 47.7 percent shooting.

He is going to do it all on the wing. In addition to shooting, Bey can rebound and create plays for others.

Cons

However, he has sometimes been criticized for being too passive. He doesn’t have an assertive personality, something that deters him from scoring even more points. It doesn’t help that he isn’t a great scorer off the dribble. Most of his points are assisted, meaning he will likely rely on teammates to set him up in the NBA.

As for his defense, he leaves much to be desired. He isn’t a difference-maker on this end of the floor despite his athleticism. In two seasons with Villanova, Bey never averaged over 1.0 steal or block per game.
