2. Rajon Rondo

Rajon Rondo became the first player to win a championship with both the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics last season – and it wasn’t a fluke.

Pros

Playoff Rondo is more than a meme, It’s a real factor. Rondo’s command of the game and ability to control the tempo was on full display last season as his basketball genius helped push the Lakers to a title.

Rondo was one of the best defenders in basketball during the postseason and consistently derailed opposing backcourts. Putting him in the Warriors rotation would patch any defensive holes they have on the perimeter.

Cons

Sadly, Rondo’s personality isn’t an easy one to mix with every team. It’s likely he would clash with the Dubs as his spot in the rotation would be crowded behind Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. I’m not sure if Rondo is prepared to accept a permanent role on the bench. At least in LA, he was a consistent closer. This won’t be the case in Golden State.

Also, Rondo is still a subpar 3-point shooter. He was able to hit 40 percent of his attempts in the playoffs – but most of those were wide-open attempts as the defense didn’t respect him.
