The Golden State Warriors have four max-value contracts, so they’ve had to track down some bargain free agents to round out their roster.

After the Golden State Warriors added Andrew Wiggins prior to the trade deadline last season, the team has four max-value contracts on their plate. That’s just too many to really do much damage in free agency with.

The team had an Andre Iguodala-created trade exception as well as a mid-level exception to their list of assets. With the trade exception, they added Suns’ forward Kelly Oubre Jr., paying almost four times what he’s worth in luxury tax penalties.

They continued to spend and brought in Kent Bazemore this offseason. Other moves they made were the drafting of James Wiseman and Nico Mannion and the signing of former Celtics point guard Brad Wanamaker.

With limited cap space, it’s still been a thrilling offseason for the team that many are hoping can regain their strength even without Klay Thompson. The Warriors may not be projected to be a top team this season, but they still have some of the best bargain deals in the league.

Let’s dive into their top four.
