Marquese Chriss

The first-round pick from Washington showed high promise in his rookie season. In his debut season, he tabbed a spot on the All-Rookie Team after making all 82 appearances for the Phoenix Suns in the 2016-2017 season.

From there on though, Chriss’ performance seemed to take a downhill spiral.

The California native gradually let his stats drop and found himself on the court less and less. At his lowest, Chriss averaged 1.8 points per game and couldn’t even make a third of his shots from the field.

Like a boomerang though, Chriss somehow has turned this around. The Golden State Warriors gave Chriss a shot to prove himself, and he is starting to do just that. Now, Chriss has amassed a 54.5 percent shooting average from the field. He is also putting up 9.3 points per game.

The Warriors may be Chriss’ good luck charm and help his career go up from here. Chriss signed a two-year, $2.5 million deal with Golden State, and he could easily go into next season as their starting center.

That’s good value.
