3. Jordan Poole

The Golden State Warriors felt confident they found a hidden gem late in the 2019 NBA Draft. Though his rookie season had its fair share of speedbumps, the future is still bright for Jordan Poole.

I’ll be honest, for the majority of last season, Poole looked like the worst player in the entire league. He was atrocious on both ends of the floor and looked totally out of his comfort zone.

This wasn’t totally his fault. It was understood that Poole would be a work in progress entering the NBA. Unfortunately, he wasn’t given much time to develop before injuries within the franchise forced him into the spotlight.

Poole struggled mightily in his first year. However, following a stint in the G-League, Poole came back to average 14.3 points and 3.9 assists on 47.2 percent shooting. He showed flashes of his heat-check capabilities as a pure shooter and dished out assists at a decent rate.

In a more traditional bench role, Poole can be relied on to provide an occasional spark. I wouldn’t expect him to become a star anytime soon -but there is a possibility Poole begins to blossom into a quality scorer with the second unit.
