Evan Fournier

The 6-foot-7 Evan Fournier will likely be asked to step up more with Markelle Fultz out, but for now, he’s yet to play at his ceiling. Fournier is a high-level scoring option and has seen a dip in his scoring this season.

He’s at 14.8 points per game, but last season, he averaged over 18 per game. More of a pure scorer and less of a defensive-minded forward, Fournier is averaging over 50 percent from the field for the first time in his career, so that’s important to note.

Fournier’s three-point shooting is down and so are his minutes. The opportunity with up-and-coming players on the Magic just hasn’t been there, so the potential for a buyout or trade is certainly alive.

With Klay Thompson out, Fournier would hopefully slide in and give them a consistent presence off the bench. Given Oubre Jr.’s struggles, having a player like Fournier on the roster would be ideal.
