Golden State Warriors trade targets: JJ Reddick

Shooters, shooters, shooters. The Golden State Warriors need to improve as a 3-point shooting team if they want to compete for a playoff spot – and JJ Reddick can be the guy who saves the day.

Replacing Klay Thompson isn’t possible, we know this already. Finding a player who can defend the perimeter and knock down shots at the rate Thompson does is no small feat. While Reddick can’t provide anywhere near the same type of defense, he can make up for the lack of shooting the Dubs currently have without Thompson.

The Warriors rank 20th in 3-point percentage. This is a far cry from where they were back in the golden days. Adding a player with a pure jumper like Reddick can address this issue. Reddick is a career 41.5 percent shooter from deep.

Reddick should have no problem running the same type of plays Thompson did as an off-ball shooter. He is a master at sprinting around the floor and using his gravity to free up the floor for the rest of his team. Reddick is a sensical trade target for the Dubs.
