Golden State Warriors’ trade scenario No. 5

We’ll start this off by looking at a simple trade for JJ Reddick. The veteran sharpshooter is beginning to see his role in New Orleans diminish. With limited time left in his career, it would be best if the Pelicans moved him to a contender in a last-ditch effort to win a championship.

It shouldn’t take much for the Pelicans to trade Reddick. He’s only playing 20 minutes per game as a reserve and can be replaced by younger guards on the roster like Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Kira Lewis. Swapping Reddick for Kelly Oubre and a future pick is a good move for New Orleans.

While Reddick is having a career-low season from behind the 3-point line, he has a long resume that gives us enough reason to think he’ll turn it around at some point. Having a shooter in the lineup to space the floor next to Stephen Curry would be magical for the Dubs after the horrid shooting we’ve seen from Oubre to start the year.
