Golden State Warriors predictions: Andrew Wiggins solidifies his role

We’ve been pulling for Andrew Wiggins ever since the Golden State Warriors traded for him at last year’s deadline. And, finally, the young forward is beginning to hit his stride and find success with the Dubs.

Playing for a winning team goes a long way for a player’s development. Wiggins has been revitalized in Golden State, looking more engaged than ever before and blossoming into a two-way threat.

He’s not only playing the best defense of his life, but he’s connecting on a career-high 40.6 percent of his 3-point attempts. His presence as a 3-and-D contributor is a core reason the Warriors have a winning record thus far.

Still, we can’t help but feel anxious. Wiggins has consistently played well in spurts throughout his career – though this occasion certainly feels different. We will be cautious until Wiggins proves he has really embraced his role, but all indicators are looking good right now.
