Marvin Bagley

Another player that may fit that mold is Marvin Bagley.

Having spent his career in Sacramento since being the second-overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Bagley’s production has taken a hit this season. With De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield being the future of the Kings, Bagley has taken a back seat.

He’s averaging 12.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Both of those are career-low numbers for the 6-foot-11 big man in his third season. Bagley would give much-needed depth and experience in the frontcourt for Golden State.

He’s also an improved three-point shooter, hitting over 37 percent of his triples this season. His defense does leave something to be desired of his game, but Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins should be able to give the help needed to keep him on the floor.

Set to make $8.9 million this season and then $11.3 million next year, adding Bagley would be a move that adds depth and youth to the Warriors frontcourt, but I wouldn’t expect him to stay on the roster for long with Wiseman looking to take minutes to develop as the future of the franchise.

He would be a good solution to the team’s depth issue this season though.
