George Hill

Stephen Curry has been electric this season, and despite the team adding Brad Wanamaker, they could still use a veteran backup that plays both alongside Curry and as the team’s leader of the second unit.

Hill could be that player, but it’d be a need the Warriors would have to want to fill first. With frontcourt depth a more pressing issue, securing a more talented backup may not be at the top of their list.

That said, Hill is a solid player that could use spending the final part of the season with a team that will compete for a championship.

Hill has only played in 14 games, but he’s averaging 11.8 points per game and is shooting over 50 percent from the field. He’s also over 38 percent from downtown. Hill would give the team shooting, leadership, and defense.

He’d be a cheap addition that also fits under the DPE. For little future draft capital, it would be a win-win if the Warriors only have to toss in a second-round pick or two.
