Last time the Golden State Warriors faced the New York Knicks, they were defeated on their home floor in embarrassing fashion. Tonight, the Warriors get a chance to return the favor in New York and stop a three-game skid from happening.

Life hasn’t been easy lately for Golden State. They fumbled a second half comeback against the Orlando Magic a few nights ago before a last-second illness held Stephen Curry from competing in Charlotte – where they would fall victim to consecutive technical fouls on Draymond Green to put the game out of reach.

This marks the fourth time this season the Dubs have lost back-to-back games and lends the potential for their first three-game rut all year long. That is, unless they take care of business in NYC.

The Golden State Warriors have a chance to snap out of their slump and get revenge on the New York Knicks tonight.

The Warriors’ woes have mostly come from a lack of depth in the frontcourt. James Wiseman and Kevon Looney have both missed extended time while Marquese Chriss is sidelined for the entire season. Both Looney and Wiseman are questionable to return tonight.

Meanwhile, Curry is healthy and ready to roll again. He scored 30 points on a rough 9-of-19 shooting night against New York in January and will be looking to overcome a tough Knicks’ defense in order to lead his team to victory.

The Knicks hold the third-best Defensive Rating in the NBA and remain in the playoff picture nearly halfway through the season. This could be their first postseason berth since Carmelo Anthony led them in 2013.

Their success has come from a number of names but none are shining more than Julius Randle. The dynamic forward is averaging 23.2 points, 11.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. He scored 19 points and hauled in 17rebounds in his first meeting with the Dubs and there’s a good chance he makes his first All-Star game this season.

The Warriors will also have to watch out for RJ Barrett, who scored a career-high 28 points against Golden State. The sophomore is breaking out as a serious threat on both ends of the floor and will be a key player in this match.

Luckily, the Dubs have a few players hitting their own strides. Kelly Oubre has been on fire, drilling 47.0 of his 3-point attempts since early February. Andrew Wiggins has been strong as well, playing phenomenal defense and 19.3 points on 50 percent shooting in his last three games.

One thing is for sure, the Warriors are a different team than they were when New York stomped them on their home floor. Tonight should be fun, but let’s hope the Dubs show their true colors and notch another victory.
