Golden State Warriors’ highlights: Draymond Green dishes 19 Assists

Ever since Kristaps Porzingis was nicknamed the ‘Unicorn’, countless players across the league have been given the title. However, if we’re taking this term to its fullest extent and talking about the rarest builds in the NBA, Draymond Green stands out above the rest.

There’s no one quite like Draymond. Search through the entire history of basketball and you’d be hard-pressed to find a guy with his physical attributes who specializes as a playmaking defender. Green does all of the little things and this was never more true than on Friday night against Charlotte.

A few games ago, Green cost the Warriors a win over the Hornets due to two technical fouls in the closing minutes. This time he pledged to redeem himself, dishing a career-high 19 assists and completing the triple double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

This was Green’s 11th game of 10+ assists this season and his first triple double of the year. The triple double has been historically kind to Green and the Warriors as they hold a 24-1 record when he has one.

Green has been on a historic playmaking streak, averaging 11.7 across his last 12 games. Only James Harden has recorded more assists during this stretch. Pretty impressive for a guy who only gets assists because of his all-star teammates, right?
