1. Draymond Green

We’d be foolish not to mention Green – the guy who brings it all together for Golden State. He’s playing some of the smartest basketball we have ever seen from an NBA player, impacting the game without scoring more than six points a game. Draymond has only scored in double-digits five times this season but is one of the league’s most impactful players due to his defense and playmaking.

Green embodies the identity of the Warriors. This team is still focused on ‘strength in numbers’ and nothing says playing together more than Green’s unselfishness and dedication to doing all of the little things on defense.

Furthermore, the Warriors’ defense is only going to get better with Green mentoring young talent like James Wiseman. Simply having tall players on the roster is a luxury when it comes to protecting the paint. It helps that Wiseman is a freakish athlete with insane potential as a shot blocker.

The future is bright for this team. Retaining their current core and bringing Thompson back into the rotation will make them even better.  Not to mention, Wiseman is a Defensive Player of the Year candidate in the making.
