P.J. Tucker

While the Warriors have reportedly been looking into Victor Oladipo, the Rocket they should have their sights on is P.J. Tucker.

Tucker’s name has been thrown out as a trade target ever since James Harden forced his way out of Houston. The veteran would make a contender much better on the defensive end of the floor and provide spacing offensively.

An undersized four, Tucker is similar to Draymond Green.

The main difference is that Green is a much better playmaker while Tucker is a much better shooter. Combine the two and it could produce a frontcourt that can perfectly bring out the best from two-time MVP Stephen Curry.

Tucker would add shooting when replacing either Wiseman or Looney. This season, Tucker is averaging 4.4 points per game and making .8 triples per game. His three-point shooting is down but so is his impact on a Rockets team far from playoff contention.

Fitting under the DPE as well, Tucker would be the perfect low-cost addition.
