Bob Myers said so

The Golden State Warriors are going to aggressive, and first and foremost, it’s because general manager Bob Myers said they were.

"“We’ll be aggressive. We’ll look around. There were years where we had the best record and were pretty quiet at the trade deadline. We didn’t really do much or make many calls. I think we’ll be more open in making calls and listening to calls than we’ve been,” Myers said on 95.7 The Game’s “Steiny, Guru & Dibs.”"

That’s a big deal if we’re being honest. It’s not typical that general managers come out and say something about their potential plans. And, while no deal may get done, it’s clear that Myers will be calling around.

The problem is that he has to have the right trade, and it will be one that doesn’t include the 2021 Minnesota Timberwolves first-round pick. It seems unlikely they include that pick, especially with Klay Thompson not healthy.

Planning for the future while making a winning team right now is something Myers also addressed when he went on the radio. It’s a tricky situation for Golden State, but it’s one that Myers will surely do his best to navigate.
