The mid-level targets are there

The targets that the Warriors can secure are going to be there for Golden State.

Victor Oladipo should be a prime-time target. Having turned down a contract extension with the Rockets, Oladipo likely won’t return. He was originally brought to Houston after James Harden forced his way out.

He should be one of the players that don’t require the Minnesota pick. While Oladipo is a former All-Star, he’s not on Bradley Beal‘s level. While Oladipo is an option, he’s far from the only option. Aaron Gordon could also be on the Warriors’ radar.

Both players could make sense for Golden State, and they wouldn’t force Myers’ hand. Golden State shouldn’t care if they deal a future first, and the targets will be there for Myers to go out and get that don’t require that valuable Minnesota pick.

The targets are there, and Myers wants to improve the roster. That said, expect the team to be buyers at the 2021 NBA Trade Deadline.
