The Golden State Warriors may not be in playoff contention now, but the plan is to end there and they’ll need one of these three to make it a reality.

The NBA Trade Deadline is under a week away, and the Golden State Warriors are set to be major players in it.

With Bob Myers claiming that Golden State is going to “aggressive” at the deadline, fans should have big expectations. At the same time, they should be tempered some as the team will likely refrain from trading their 2021 Minnesota Timberwolves first-round pick.

The Warriors have the holes they need to fill. As we saw for most of February, their depth in the frontcourt isn’t good enough to sustain them if the injury-prone Kevon Looney goes down.

Looney, who is naturally a four, and James Wiseman, the team’s No. 2 overall pick who is still getting used to playing without fouling, are the only players in the team’s frontcourt. On top of that, the Warriors may want to get a more consistent player to pair with Stephen Curry.

While Klay Thompson is out, it’s tough to just throw away a prime season from Curry. Myers could look to trade Kelly Oubre Jr., as Ramona Shelburne said they should. It’s unlikely they’ll have the ability to re-sign him given their limited cap space.

That said, let’s dive into three trades that the Warriors need to consider proposing after understanding their needs.
