Cleared roster spots

The Golden State Warriors cleared two roster spots at the deadline, and that should be seen as a positive.

The Dubs haven’t gotten the production they’ve needed from Wanamaker. Given that Jordan Poole has erupted in his second year after a short stint with the Santa Cruz Warriors, the Warriors’ need for Wanamaker will be far less moving forward.

As for Chriss, it seemed like they would’ve loved to keep him and look to re-sign him in the offseason. Sadly, they need more help in their frontcourt as both Kevon Looney and James Wiseman have proven to be injury-prone.

Both players won’t be in Golden State for the remainder of the season, and the Warriors can now turn to the buyout market. They lost LaMarcus Aldridge to Brooklyn, a team just collecting all types of talent.

Others should arise in the next few days, and with these roster spots, hopefully, they can bring in a few new faces.
