Warriors potential free agency addition: Glenn Robinson III

As we mentioned previously, Robinson III was dealt prior to the 2020 trade deadline. After spending time in Detroit, Robinson found himself without much of a market in the 2019 free agency period.

The Warriors had little money and a huge need for shooting. Klay Thompson was already out for the upcoming season, giving Robinson ample opportunity.

With Stephen Curry’s injury, Robinson, as with Burks, was thrust into a major role on a disappointing team. However, he also made the most of his opportunity. Robinson averaged 11.7 points per game and shot 39.1 percent from deep. He was also traded to Philadelphia.

This past offseason, Robinson signed with the Kings. He’s played just 23 games. Robinson’s poor play, averaging just 5.3 points on 36 percent from deep, should allow him to be in the Warriors budget.

A reunion here would make sense for both parties as Robinson would get back into a culture that fits his playstyle.
